Principal's Message

It brings me great honour and pride to welcome you to the very first edition of SJC Model United Nations on the 17th, 18th and 19th of April, 2020. With enormous pleasure and excitement, I greet every member who will be associated with this event. In this era of darkness, our motto of highlighting the “Utopian Reality of Democracy” calls upon young minds to a platform where they can deliver copious solutions on an international crisis.... Emulating from J. William Fulbright's vision that, “Educational exchange can turn nations into people, contributing as no other form of communication can to the humanizing of international relations.” our purpose of conducting this conference is to primarily give the students and the leaders of tomorrow hand-on learning of international relations. Hosting such a conference can further help young minds develop their researching and public speaking skills. Sr. Mary Kavanady, For the fulfilment of this purpose, I heartily welcome the Executive Board of each committee. The personnel of the Executive Board is comprised of well-known faces who have been attending Model United Nations conferences for years and have gathered international exposure. Each of them will make use of their knowledge and observance to help each committee come up with various diplomatic resolutions regarding their respective agendas. I am delighted to have every delegate representing member nations of the United Nations and holding important portfolios on board. All of you are, undoubtedly, the heart and soul of this conference. Our administrative team, comprising of expert coordinators will supervise the entire conference to ensure the curriculums are conducted with utmost discipline and care. Further, the dexterous core-committee will be addressing the needs of every participant. I hereby conclude, quoting Mehdi Karrubi, “ We should have strong diplomacy, avoid making unwise remarks that would further complicate the issue, build confidence and boost cooperation.”I hereby look forward to witnessing a conference that involves sound diplomacy and extensive teamwork. I hope every student is benefited by this event to leverage his/her experience and network and to prepare himself for a better tomorrow.
Thank You.
